Education
Dr. Rissler’s educational journey spans continents, reflecting her dedication to learning and excellence in dentistry. Born and raised in South Korea, she ventured to the United States to pursue her academic aspirations.
She commenced her educational foundation at the prestigious Red Cross College of Nursing in Seoul, South Korea, where she honed her skills and passion for healthcare. Building upon this foundation, Dr. Rissler furthered her studies at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, where she expanded her knowledge and expertise.
Driven by her commitment to providing comprehensive dental care, Dr. Rissler pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the esteemed University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Here, she received advanced training and hands-on experience, equipping her with the necessary tools to deliver exceptional care to her patients.

Ashley, Dental Assistant
Meet Ashley, our dedicated dental assistant who’s been an integral part of our practice since its inception. With a wealth of experience and genuine passion for patient care, Ashley brings dynamic energy to our team. Ashley began her career after graduating from a reputable dental assisting program in Springfield, MO. She started as an orthodontic assistant before transitioning to general dentistry, where she excels in providing comprehensive care. One of Ashley’s greatest joys is working closely with our patients, helping them feel confident about their smiles while educating them on oral health. Outside of the office, Ashley cherishes moments with her kids, enjoys a good book, and loves the outdoors. With Ashley, your dental experience will be comfortable and rewarding. Her commitment to excellence and genuine care make her an invaluable member of our team.
Polaris, Administrative Assistant
Polaris has been with us since May 2020. She is planning on attending UMKC starting this fall, with the plan of getting a Chemistry BA – while doing the pre profession of Dentistry. When she is not in the office, she enjoys hanging out with friends and reading.
Yolanda, Receptionist
Meet Yolanda, our cherished receptionist at Focus Dental Studio. Yolanda joined our team in January 2021, bringing a fresh perspective and a welcoming presence to our front desk. Before joining us, Yolanda pursued her passion for music at SBU. Her background as a musician enriches our practice with creativity and a harmonious touch. When she’s not at the office, you can find Yolanda playing the piano or spending quality time with her loved ones. With her friendly demeanor and dedication to providing excellent service, Yolanda ensures that every patient feels welcome and valued from the moment they walk through our doors.
Caroline, Receptionist
Caroline Murphy, a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning hospitality, manufacturing, and dental and medical administration, has joined our team as a front desk person. Hailing from Manhattan, Kansas, she brings a wealth of experience in reception, scheduling, billing, coding, insurance, and management. Her passion for nurturing extends beyond her career, as she is a devoted fur baby rescue mom to three dogs and two cats. With a love for travel, gardening, cooking, and connecting with people, Caroline is poised to enhance the patient experience and contribute positively to our dental office environment.
Erin, Registered Dental Hygienist
Introducing Erin, who joined us in January 2024. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Ozarks Technical Community College in 2011 and has been dedicated to improving her patients’ oral health ever since. Erin is passionate about ensuring each visit feels comfortable and relaxing for her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. As a Springfield native, Erin loves traveling, being outdoors, hiking, gardening, and taking care of her family’s small flock of chickens. With Erin’s dedication and expertise, you can expect compassionate care for your dental needs.
Allison, Registered Dental Hygienist
Introducing Allison, our experienced dental hygienist with a passion for oral health care. Since 2013, Allison has been dedicated to the dental field, earning her Dental Hygiene License in 2018. Originally from Florida, Allison has called Missouri home since 2002. She’s a proud mother of two sons – one attending college at Mizzou and the other in high school. With Allison’s expertise and commitment to dental health, you can trust that your oral care needs are in good hands.
